2011 Ravenswood Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel
This 2011 Ravenswood Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi offers dark plum color with pleasant aromas of noticeable of coffee, blueberry and black cherry. To be surprised, I think this is the first time I smelled something similar to coffee! On the palate, a lot of black cherry, dark chocolate and black pepper with smooth texture. It has long smoky finish. I would say medium to full-bodied. Let it open up for 30 min to hour. This is one of my best Zinfandel so far. And price, yes, love it under $20.

This J vineyards & winery 2013 California Pinot Gris offers pale yellow and floral and perfume aroma. On the palate, white peach, green pear and nectarine. Also it has honey type of sweetness. I would say semi sweet side but its refreshing and no after taste. This is one of my kick back and relax wine. I prefer to have this J Pinot Gris itself. If I drink it inside I would chill it little colder than normally or put in an ice basket and bring to outside. Sip while watching sunset or chilling after hard work.

This Gewürztraminer offers pale straw color and sweet side but not sugary sweet. Ripe peach and Jackfruit aroma. Soft and mild but it has Jackfruit sweetness. Oh, what is Jackfruit? This Santa Lucia Highlands Riesling from Franconi Vineyard offers lemon glass and white peach aroma. Very clean crisp and you can taste pinch of salt some say mineral. It has lemon and grapefruit flavor. No sweetness fully dry white wine. I definitely enjoyed this Riesling.
