Row Eleven Vinas 3 Pinot Noir Vintage 2009

This Row Eleven Vinas 3 is a blend of Sonoma, Santa Barbara and Monterey vineyards. This blend Pinot Noir offers rich black cherry color with cocoa, currant, vanilla aroma. On the palate, ripe cherry, hint of leather, mild tobacco, no after taste. Also it has smooth and clean finish. Once it opens up it become much smoother and milder.

If you are not familiar with Pinot Noir, this article from Wine Folly tells you the basic of Pinot Noir. I will call it Pinot Noir 101. So far, I tried France, United States, Australia, Germany and Italy Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is one of my favorite. Especially earthy, fruity but dry, light tannin and cut grass aroma combination (I call it Pinot combo). I found most of Washington and Oregon Pinot Noir has this type of combination. Unfortunately this Row Eleven Vinas 3 Pinot Noir Vintage 2009 didn’t have Pinot combo.
