Sportoletti Assisi Rosso 2007 Red Blend from Umbria, Italy

Blend with 50% Sangiovese, 50% Merlot

This Sportoletti Assisi Rosso 2007 offers dark cherry with heavy licorice flavor. It’s need to open for minimum few hours. I would recommend over night. Once it opens up there is juicy jammy blackberry and hint of Tobacco aroma. Full-bodied and dry. Last long mild flavor and strong side of tannin. I thought it had little bitter after taste.

Assisi Rosso is a DOC* and DOC calls for the Rosso to be at least 50 to 70 percent Sangiovese.
